[Lessons resume]
Thank you for your continued support.
We had suspended lessons to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, but with the measures below in place, we resumed lessons on Monday, June 8. As the situation is still changing day by day, we ask each family to make its own decision about attending.

[Our measures for resuming lessons]
[Requests to students and parents]
● Taking students’ temperature before lessons and checking the temperature check sheet
Please take your child’s temperature at home before each lesson.
We will hand out a GAJYUKU “temperature check sheet.”
Please take your child’s temperature at home, record the result, have a parent sign it, and hand it to the class teacher before the lesson.
Please understand that students who do not hand in the temperature check sheet may not be able to take the lesson.
If your child has a temperature of 37.5°C or higher or cold symptoms, please keep them at home.
If a fever or cold symptoms are noticed during a lesson, we will contact a parent and ask them to take the child home early.
● Please wear a mask
To avoid close-range conversation and speaking, please always wear a mask during lessons.
*If you cannot obtain masks, please make one by hand, referring to sites such as the “Children’s Learning Support Site” (in Japanese).
● We recommend wearing a face shield (optional)
To prevent droplets, we recommend that students wear a face shield while working in the studio; wearing one is optional, and we leave the decision to each family.
The studios have some face shields, but numbers are limited and they are shared after disinfecting each time, so please bring your own if at all possible.
To reduce contact as much as possible, please also ask your child not to walk around unnecessarily.
Also, as the weather gets hot with masks on, please have your child bring a water bottle.
● Please bring a handkerchief
Please bring a handkerchief for drying hands after washing.
● Parents are asked not to observe lessons
To avoid crowding, we ask parents to refrain from observing lessons for the time being (with some exceptions).
● Temporary suspension of make-up lessons
To ease crowding, there will be no make-up lessons for the time being.
[*We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the temporary suspension of make-up lessons.
If attending on your lesson day is difficult because of school days and the like, we can suggest a temporary class change or reserving a place on a different day from your usual class.
Reopening while taking measures to prevent infection has required difficult decisions, and we are still feeling our way. The current measures are not necessarily a decision to continue unchanged for the long term.
For our customers who have been looking forward to reopening, to secure our employees’ jobs, and to maintain art education, we hope to restart and continue lessons while keeping our infection-prevention measures in line with the situation.
We are sorry for the great inconvenience and sincerely ask for your understanding and cooperation.
[What GAJYUKU is doing]
● Taking and checking staff temperatures before work
● Staff with a temperature of 37.0°C or higher, severe fatigue, breathing difficulty or other symptoms do not come to work
● Thorough cleaning according to our manual before classes open
● Lessons are held with the room ventilated
● To avoid close-range conversation and speaking, teachers and students wear masks and face shields during lessons
● Thorough hand-washing after every lesson
● Cleaning students’ desks after every lesson
Depending on how the situation develops, the reopening date may change. If so, we will let you know promptly.
We sincerely ask for your understanding and cooperation.
