Spring School Preschool Class — Course Details

Spring break! A painting & 3D art program for preschoolers
At GAJYUKU, we treasure each child’s individuality and imagination, and believe that the heart of learning art lies in the discoveries, questions, fun and joy that arise during the creative process. We also hope children will feel the joy of expression — something that goes beyond drawing and making — by sharing with others what happened while they created.
Our teachers are art specialists with their own creative practice. Drawing on that experience, they hold to our policy that the creative process matters most, and nurture each child’s individuality and sensibility.
It is also a great way to support early childhood education, emotional development and school arts & crafts ahead of the new school year.
Programs grounded in the theory and practice of painting and 3D art — introductory painting courses for preschool and elementary children
Just as every child’s sensibility is different, so is their pace of making. That’s why GAJYUKU’s Spring School runs as a 3-day continuous curriculum (basics, development, application). Sometimes no discovery comes on day 1. On day 2, a child may discover an idea that leads somewhere new. On day 3, they will feel the joy of giving shape to what they imagined and thought. Taking time to make things brings a real sense of achievement and growth.
Although 3 days is a short time, we hope you will make use of GAJYUKU’s art program in your child’s education.
“Wonderful Experiences with Color and Shape” ☆A first step into drawing and making☆
For preschoolers: painting and 3D art practice
□ Syllabus
Day 1: “Painting Outer Space” — collage painting — (we paint outer space on black paper)
Day 2: “Color Water” — color water and dropper painting — (we mix lots of colors and draw with droppers)
Day 3: “Spaghetti” — play-food sculpture — (we make a dish out of clay)
□ Aims
By learning ways of expressing each theme, children develop their imagination. Combining various materials and shapes of paper they have cut themselves, and seeing them as something else, children enjoy building their own world.
Using the three primary colors (cyan (blue), magenta (red) and yellow), children experience how color works and become interested in color. They discover that colors change when mixed, and that colors only truly appear in relation to one another.
By rolling and pinching clay, children discover they can change its shape with their hands, and their creativity is stimulated as they try to give form to what they imagined.
□ Lesson time
10:00-11:30 (90 minutes)
□ Schedule
3 days: Tuesday, March 31, Wednesday, April 1, and Thursday, April 2, 2026
