GAJYUKU Art School for Children | Trial Lesson

Your path as an artist starts today

Before enrolling in or joining any GAJYUKU art program, we ask children to take a Trial Lesson. Your child joins an actual lesson in the class you are considering, so you can experience what the lessons are like, how your child gets on with the teacher, and the atmosphere of the class. Afterwards we explain the program and answer any questions. You can also apply to enroll on the day of the Trial Lesson — so your child’s path as an artist can begin today.
*No Trial Lesson is needed for the Summer/Spring Schools or the Parent & Child Class.

From Trial Lesson to enrollment

[Booking and enquiries]

To book, choose your preferred studio, date and class on the online Trial Lesson form, fill in the required details, and pay the lesson fee online by credit card. Your booking is then complete.

[On the day]

On the day, please read “Trial Lesson: Information and Notes for the Day” (PDF, in Japanese) before coming to the studio.
After the Trial Lesson, the teacher will explain how to enroll. Please feel free to ask any questions.

[During the lesson]
Before the lesson starts, parents pay the Trial Lesson fee to the teacher and are welcome to watch the lesson. After the lesson, please allow about 10 minutes to hear the teacher’s explanation.

[Enrollment]
Either hand in the application form on the day of the Trial Lesson, or apply later using the enrollment form on our website.

*You may enroll at any time of year. We guarantee 48 lessons in the year from your enrollment date (24 for the biweekly course).
*Tuition does not vary by month: the annual tuition is paid in 12 monthly installments.
*Please ask us about make-up lessons for absences. Tuition is not reduced for absences.

■ For: Preschoolers (kindergarten/nursery), elementary, junior high and high school students

■ Dates: By arrangement

■ Lesson length: 90 minutes
*50 minutes at Toyosu Megumi Studio

■ Location: GAJYUKU Art School for Children — all studios
(Seiseki-Sakuragaoka, Youga, Kami-Youga, Mitaka, Musashi-Koyama, Mejiro, Den-en-Chofu, Kikukawa, Karasuyama, Nerima, Toyosu Megumi, Monzen-nakacho, Higashi-Nakano)
*Toyosu Megumi Studio is only for children enrolled at Toyosu Megumi Kodomoen.

■ Fee: ¥3,630 (incl. tax)
*Paid in advance by credit card when you book online.
*Toyosu Megumi Kodomoen pupils: ¥1,980 (incl. tax)
*The Trial Lesson can be taken once only; from the 2nd lesson on, lessons are treated as the Flexible Class.
