At 13 studios in Tokyo, we offer hands-on art and creative education for children, centered on painting, 3D art and crafts.

Art classes in painting, sculpture, and design — preschool through high school

GAJYUKU is an art school for children from preschool through high school. We place special value on the creative process itself — the thinking and hands-on experience that lead to a finished work of painting, 3D-art or craft.
Alongside watercolor and crafts, we incorporate proper drawing and three-dimensional work, taught by staff who are practicing artists, designers, illustrators and creators — guidance grounded in real professional experience.
We also hold exhibitions so children can experience the joy of presenting their own work and of appreciating others’ creations. Short-term programs such as seasonal courses are also available.

We report on every class through our blog and social media, and share photos of every lesson and artwork via SnapSnap.
*SnapSnap is a school-photo service that captures these vivid moments and delivers them as lasting photographs.

Creative programs for every age and need

Our core classes are the Preschool Class (ages 3–6), the Elementary Class (ages 6–12) and the Teen Class (junior & senior high). We also offer a Parent & Child Class for toddlers (ages 2–3), a Flexible short-term Class, and 3-day Spring and Summer Schools.

For ongoing study there are our Regular Classes; for shorter commitments, our Flexible Class and the Spring/Summer Schools; and for toddlers, our Parent & Child Class — an art program to suit every age and need.

*For all programs other than the Parent & Child Class and the Spring/Summer Schools, a paid Trial Lesson is required before enrolling.

[Preschool Class]
Our core art program — serious, hands-on weekly (or biweekly) study of painting, 3D-art and design — for preschoolers.

[Elementary Class]
Our core art program — serious, hands-on weekly (or biweekly) study of painting, 3D-art and design — for elementary students.

[Teen Class]
Our core art program. A weekly (or biweekly) class for junior and senior high students, with serious, hands-on study of painting, 3D-art and design.

[Trial Lesson]
If you are considering our Regular Classes or wish to join the Flexible Class, please start with a Trial Lesson to experience our teaching firsthand. It takes place in a regular class, so you can get a feel for the atmosphere too.

[Parent & Child Class]
A parent-and-child art program for toddlers aged 2–3. Eight programs per year, joinable from a single session. The content alternates each year, so children can experience up to 16 programs over two years.

[Flexible Class]
A flexible, limited-session program for children who cannot attend regularly — perfect when school or other activities make a weekly commitment difficult, or simply to spark an interest in drawing and making.

[Spring School — Elementary Class]
A 3-day spring workshop in painting and 3D-art, for elementary students not yet enrolled.

[Spring School — Preschool Class]
